RVCA History
The Rosemont-Villanova Civic Association was founded in the 1950s or 1960s. From the 1980s until around 2005, it was known primarily for its sports programs, which were based on the fields at Harriton High School. There were regular meetings at that time that included reports from the Lower Merion Police Community Engagement Officer fro Rosemont-Villanova, and informational meetings with the Lower Merion Board of School Directors, Township Commissioners, and Township staff.
Around 2005, the RVCA entered a "quiet phase," with little activity. Efforts began in 2018 to pull together the necessary paperwork to ensure that we had the by-laws and state filings to move forward with reinvigorating the organization.
